catholic is a "christian religion" any religion that accepts Jesus as the son of god is christian. SO Mormon, Catholic, Jehovah, Episcipalian, Baptist.. etc.. The main separation from catholic and the reason most christian religions dont respect catholics is that Catholics Pray to saints, and include Mary as a diety. so it seems to me you are a batized catholic who is 100% christian

so unless you were re baptised into christianity you are technically still catholic (I was baptised catholic too) My mom did a similar thing when I was a kid, but I was still going to catholic school when we switched to an evangelical church. So I never got confirmed. However in the grand scheme they read the same book, and the religions are close. do what you feel is right. if there really is a god I wouldnt think that he minds as long as you believe.

Last time I checked, all Catholics are Christians, although not all Christians are Catholics.
