"It's" / "Its". Even those who know which one is which make that mistake sometimes. Incorrect spellign is something that bothers me a lot.
-
definately (wrong spelling) definitely (right spelling)
-
misspelled words in general tick me off. Maybe I am stuck up, but how hard can it be? I mean, we all make mistakes, but when you are misspelling words all over the place I just see it as ignorant. I'm sorry.
-
nad, teh & any wrong usage of their, there or they're. I don't like seeing superfluous "U's" in words such as colour, flavour or harbour. If you notice that these words show up as being misspelled by this site's automatic spell checker.

Bear with me. Bare with me, becuase strippers bear their bodies.

I have noticed that many people here on AB do not know the difference between "accept" and "except".
-
I hate the shortcuts (typical of CMC) that are finding their way into student's essay writing. (ex. d novel was interest'g 2 read bcuz...)!!!

Bad spelers of teh wurld untie!

I just hate when people use txt mssging words. U, ur, r, waz.... Is it really that difficult to type in a few more letters??
-
"Teh" sets my teeth on edge. I just want to reach through my monitor with my red marking pen and write "the" on their foreheads. "U", "r", sr8t", and the like also annoys the daylights out of me. If someone uses textspeak I do not read their posts. I do not mind misspellings if the person is trying. What bothers me is when they are doing it to be coOl. I am achingly dyslexic and I might be known for the occasional misspelling, however, I, myself, prefer reading something where attention has been paid to spelling and grammar. It makes a document, or even a post, easier to read. I take pains to avoid my dyslexia being noticeable for my own vanity and the ease of of anyone who reads my words. I do still use some old Canadian spellings that are now considered incorrect, such as "thankyou" versus "thank you". "Thankyou" was taught in the 60's in Canada as correct.
-
Not so much a misspelling, but I hate the way that so many people use 'of' instead of 'have', like, I would of, instead of I would have.
-
The word "lose" misspelled as "loose". Example: "Will I loose this game?" Loose means that something is not tight.
-
A couple that really annoy me are: rediculous for ridiculous spiratic for sporadic the more obvious ones get me too (their/they're/there; you're/your; text speak etc) but these are two that I've started to see used more often recently and they drive me mad!
-
When people use the word 'to' instead of using the word 'too.' For example, some people might write 'to long', or 'to high', etc., when they should write the word 'too.' Also, people that write 'ect', when they should write 'etc,' (Et Cetera, Latin, 'and the rest'.) Etc, etc, .....! :-)

Living in the south I see watermelon mispelled as watermellon but what really bugs me is to see an apostrophe inserted where it is really not needed, as in WATERMELLON'S FOR SALE.

There and their
-
a lot...this is actually two words but people write "alot" more than not.
-
Definitely their, there and they're.
-
Incorretly, wait, I forgot a c. Man, that always gets me. Incorrectly
-
Two big ones which can be either a misuse or a misspelling (depending on whether or not I am giving the benefit of the doubt) that drive me nuts are: 1) affect/effect -- you affect something, and the result of that is an effect; and 2) breath/breathe -- a breath is the thing you take into your lungs when you breathe.
-
a lot...it bugs me a lot when people spell it as one word.
-
I agree with all of these answers but one that has not been mentioned is the 'no, know, now.' Along with 'their and there' are the two that really irks me. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so these silly abbreviations just to be quick, that should ONLY be used for IM'ing drive me up the wall. Then throw in the fact that some people will not take the extra ten to fifteen seconds it takes to re-read what they wrote to insure that it makes sense (here's another word that often gets spelled wrong-since and sense.) Ok, I'll get off my soap box. I did not write this to offend anyone, please accept my apology if I did offend you in anyway. In His service, <:))))<>< "Knowing the Bible is one thing. Getting nominative and objective pronouns mixed up in sentences. For example: "The party was disappointing to Mary and I." It should be "Mary and me", because when you leave out "Mary", you wouldn't say, "It was disappointing to I." See how stupid that sounds? Yet, I used to do transcription for very educated people who invariably never knew the proper usage. An objective form of the pronoun always follows the preposition. Sorry about the grammar lesson.

My name. The amount of cards i get with Naterly, or Natlie, or Natly, PEOPLE JUST SPELL IT HOW ITS SAID! Its not even a hard name to spell lol. Or even just write Nat, so much easier!

I hate when people spell hey "hay"... Hay is for horses! It is such a simple word too.

RECIEVE instead of RECEIVE

There is a subtle difference between being a manager - and a manger. Spell checkers don't pick up on it, but the person reading your resume does.
-
none, the only time is when someone clearly misspells things in a question
-
Their, there and they're or Two, to and too.
-
Tomorrow. I always have to spell check the dang thing.
-
It's a toss-up between "your" instead of "you're" and "there" instead of "they're."
