• theres nothing wrong in going back to christianity, just as long as you have asked the lord to forgive you and committ your life to christ as your personal saviour. good on you that you came back! that means its not too late for you...
• First of all, Jesus himself condems orginized religion. Secondly, if church is what you find good for your faith, it's all you! Going to church because it is good for you, don't let anyone say it's a bad thing. Church is a great thing to pray on and ask forgivness on past transgressions. Aswell as build a stronger personal relationship with god. It's never wrong or stupid to go to church.
• No it is not wrong....when people do bad things it is more important that they go back than ever. (Speaking of Christianity here). If you have accepted Jesus..and asked for it, you have been forgiven for whatever it is that you have done. If you want to go to church, you have every right to be there.
• Its never wrong to go to church, period. if you are truly sincere in asking for your sins to be forgiven, they shall be. Good for you.
• See this is what I don't get about Christianity and all that jazz. You are all supposed to practice acceptance and stuff, but then you shun those who don't have the same morals! Go to church, don't go, do what you want. G-d's got your back!
• In the fifteenth chapter of Luke's Gospel, Jesus himself told about how important it was to bring people back to the flock. I hope that eventually the rest of your family goes back, too. My own family was all church dropouts, but three of the four returned and I still pray for my brother.
• 9 ¶ And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him. 10 ¶ And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples. 11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners? 12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. 13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. (Matthew 9: 9-14) If we were perfect we would not need church. Church is a place where us sinners can go to gain support and strength to help us overcome our sins and learn to live more Christ-like lives. Those that tell you that you should not go to Church just want to wallow in their own sins without having anyone tell them that they are doing wrong. It's like putting a bunch of politicians at the bottom of a hole with only one ladder. Instead of help each other to get out, they will keep pulling each other back down as each tries to be the first to the top. Don't listen to your family in this. They are just trying to pull you back down. Follow your heart and the Holy Ghost and trust God to guide you to where you belong.
• Your faith, and what is right for you, is between you and Deity. If you feel that going back to your church is right for you, then do not let the naysayers bother you. Learn and grow spiritually the way YOU chose.
• Dude, seriously Jesus hung out with prostitutes, lepers, adulterers, murderers AND tax collectors. Remind your Christian family of that the next time they feel the need to point out your flaws.
• It is horrible that your family is judging you when you go back to church. Your faith is between you , God and the church that you go to. Remember that Jesus forgave many, many people including the thief that he was being crucified with. There is nothing that you can do that puts a permanant barrier between you and God. Remember Jesus said told the disciples that any sin they forgive are forgiven, so go to your priest or minister and talk to them and ask for God's forgiveness.
• You keep going to church, and pray that God will change you into the image of His Son as your life goes on. If you have sincerely asked Him into your life, He is there, and willing to transform you. If you fall sometimes, get up, "wash your feet" (in other words, do what you can within your power to make things right) and keep on going. As our senior pastor says "Plod with God." Church is not a club for the finest in society. It is a hospice for those in recovery. There is no one better or worse than you there. Sounds like your family needs to go too. Plod with God,little one.
• Don't they know about the parable of the prodigal son? They are supposed to welcome you with open arms, give you a ring and slaughter a bull to have a celebration. If you were lost and now you are found, they should rejoice in this.
• Of course it's not wrong. And we all have sinned. That's the whole point of accepting Jesus as your savior-because you know you are a sinner. It's hard to not have the support of your family but God will provide you with all the family support you need if you ask him. He can also call your family into a relationship with him through your faithfulness. Take heart, you are not alone.
• No, go back if that is what you feel is right. Pray for your family. God knows what is in your heart, do not let others worry you. In His service, <:))))<>< "My salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty rock, my refuge." Psalm 62:7
• Absolutely not wrong to go back.I have a sister who calls me a Jesus freak and that I've lost my mind.I pray all the time she'll lose her mind too.Keep going to church and don't let anyone stop you.I'll pray for you.
• There would be no need for any churches if there were no imperfect people : ) If it gives you comfort and hope in the best possible sense of those words, keep going....not only have you the 'right' to be there, they have the privelege of having you among them because you justify the very existence of the church (as do they wether they realise it or not :)
• No. It is never wrong to return to God. This is what the parable of the Prodigal Son, the Lost Sheep, and the Lost Coin are all about. "In just the same way, I tell you, there will be rejoicing among the angels of God over one sinner who repents." (Luke 15:10) With love in Christ.
• no it isnt wrong to go back it seems at times GOD allows us to wonder away why maybe to choose which way to go but then it seems he pulls us back in and says you are mine now i love you and will take care of you. i did the same thing many years ago but it wasnt GOD id fallen out with it was the church sometimes a good time in the desert is what we need to be just us and GOD
• We are born in sin and will die in sin. No one, not one, is without sin. But Jesus Christ died so that we could be saved. So if everyone that had sinned was banned from church, every church in the world would be empty. So it's just plain silly to think that it's wrong for you to go to church.
• No. Go to church if you wish to. As a believer it's not necessary, but if you find it helpful, fill your boots and be glad! :-)
• Jesus forgave you but it sounds like your parents don't...you are right, who hasn't , including your parents..NO,NEVER, is it ever wrong to go back to the Lord, you are doing right. Only God knows our hearts..and we all fall short...so Godspeed..and don't let anything stand in your way...
• MAN IM EXCITED TO HEAR YOU CAME BACK TO CHRIST!!! EITHER WAY....REMEMBER THE DEVIL WILL USE ANYTHING OR ANYBODY TO ATTACK YOU AND MAKE YOU FEEL DISCOURAGED AND TRY TO STOP YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST. YOU PRESS ON AND PRAY TO THE LORD TO HELP YOU ON THIS AWESOME JOURNEY. AND REMEMBER ITS NOT ALWAYS A WALK IN THE PARK, BUT REMEMBER "THE OUTCOME IS GREAT!!!"
• "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). You should definately go back to God. If you've repented, your sins have been forgiven... learn from them. Nothing else matters but your relationship with God and if your family doesn't understand that then there's nothing that needs to be explained to them. If you have it in your heart to change then it's been done. :o)
• oh my! I think absolutely go back! but I personally think that it is way more important to get back to your personal relationship with God! We all do bad things! We are human and God knows that and he gives us mercy! Sometimes those crazy christians make me so livid! They seem to forget about how loving and compassionate God really is! Of course he does want us to live pure and clean lives but he knows we aren't perfect and he loves us anyway.
• No it is not wrong... It is important to get into a good bible based church. Please check several out and go to one on a regular basis.
• Being imperfect perfectly qualifies you go to church!
• I haven't been back to church in a long time either...the BIBLE tells us to fellowship with our brothers and sisters-in CHRIST...I have found that when I left the flock I battled alone many situations and in some I have lost. If I had been with strong GOD- fearing GOD-loving brothers and sisters I might not be where I am now. I have gotten to where I don't want to go to church. Why because of my trials I went thru and how the very Christians who should of supported me turned their back on me....why???? Because I wear jewelry and make-up and they don't believe in that in their church. I got hurt then angry then bitter....then I didn't care to be around other so called Christians. That is why we need to be careful about judging others and leave it to GOD for HIM to convict us if something we are doing is wrong or not. I still love the LORD and I know that I need to get back with like minded GOD-FEARING, GOD-LOVING christians. I need to get my eyes off what others have done to me and keep them on the LORD instead of the hurts and those who inflicted them on me. The one thing I have learned is that yes the LORD will accept us back and wants us to come back to HIM. Yes HE forgives us. The one thing not many understand is that HE also wants us to REPENT.... in other words yes HE forgives but HE also says repent. That means don't do all the things that were bad again. REPENT not repeat. The fact that you went back means that the love of the LORD and the HOLY-SPIRIT was luring you back....putting that desire in your heart to go back to HIM. How awesome that you humbled yourself enough to go back to that which is the best for you and you admitted that you were doing things that were not pleasing to HIM. HE truly loves you so much to sic the HOLY_SPIRIT on you......I am so glad for you.
• Wrong? No way! God wants you to take His yoke upon you and learn of Him. Remember, FAITH COMETH BY HEARING!The people that want you out of church need to be in there as much as you and I.
• Welcome home! When Jesus died on the cross He did so for all sin for all eternity. His last words were - It is Finished! Come sit in the benches with the rest of us sinners, hypocrites and the like. Scripture says that there is not one good - no not one except for Jesus. Once Jesus lives in you, it doesn't mean you will immediately stop sinning, it just means you won't enjoy it much any more. That's when your heart is completely convicted for doing wrong. Jesus did all the work on the cross for you, HE took the bullet for you so you wouldn't have to. And when you are dead and Satan tries to convict you as a sinner, Jesus will be your attorney, your advocate, and He'll tell God - (who judges us) hey, I got this one. He/she's with me! God does not see your sin as he is looking the the blood of Jesus at you - like Rose colored glasses. if you need specific scriptures to back all this up, let me know. Being a Christian doesn't make you better than anyone else , it just makes YOU better than you USED to be!
• Don't forget that Jesus hung out with social outcasts: prostitutes, thieves, murders, tax collectors, etc.

• i thought the whole purpose was about forgiveness????
• Some people seem to think that Christians are not allowed to make mistakes or that we don't sometimes fall into sin, but we are human just like everone else, you just have to ask God's forgiveness and move on. and as far as going back to church, how can going to church be wrong? it can't, so don't worry about what others think, do whats right for you.
• Your family is wrong for discouraging you from having a relationship with the church. You should go to church and strength you bond with Christ and it will certainly help you from backsliding into the "bad things" you did before. Do they go to church? If not then maybe by your going, it does not let them feel as superior over you for the things you did. I just can imagine telling someone they are not good enough to go to church.
