  • At least in the US I believe that we can wear anything we want as long as nobodys willy is floppin all around. As for fashion. I've seen way worse. As for other countries. There are so many people going around using their free speach to defame america I hardly think anybody's worried about the soviet union of yesteryear
  • In some cases it can be a very good thing......
  • I don't think anyone deserves to wear the uniform unless they have served, for one. Two, I dislike seeing the uniform displayed incorrectly. It seems disrespectful.
  • It's up to you but I (and most people I suppose) don't like any military clothes at all. For most people, it symbolizes war.
  • i have no problem with it and i'm a vet. this country is based on freedom of choice. clothing styles are a personal choice and should not be legislated. it doesn't matter whether someone else likes it or not. as a matter of fact i've worn my old bdu shirt with an old soviet beret before.
  • If you wear clothing depicting a military enemy, you are taking the reaction of people into your own hands. Don't go to the airport, for one. It may brand you as something you don't wish to be branded as. Do you think Neo Nazis are cool? Not so much.
  • For anyone other than bona fide military personnel to wear military surplus clothing could be risky.....you'd better make sure that there is no insignia or stripes. Personally, I don't like to see non military persons wearing military clothing as "fashion" because it dishonors the military.
  • No wrong with that in a democracy, but I think military cloting is one of the worst fashions ever, no matter which country's military cloting you wear. For most people, it symbolizes war and is it how we want the Earth?
  • I think it's head and shoulders better than hobbling about town with your pants around your ankles. I don't see anyone doing anything about THAT fashion crime.
  • I used to have a lot of east German junk...a coat, hats, fatigues, and a jacket. It was cool to wear some of them back in the day - No, there is nothing wrong with army surplus clothing.
  • Half my closet is clothing with the logos, names, etc., from local sports teams, and will wear them even when not attending the sporting events. Seems similiar things.
  • I have no problem with it unless you're pretending to be someone you're not.
  • I saw to my biggest surprise that Americans and British as well as French seem to wear quite often even German military surplus. I find it extremely strange wearing army surplus of a foreign country which is considered as an enemy. I am also very upset that German military stuff gets into foreign countries and is there available. I never would wear military stuff from a foreign country.
