  • This is hard to answer because I'm not sure what you mean. What do you mean by "original" clothing? I certainly know second-hand. What I can answer that may be helpful is that many times second-hand clothing (vintage especially) is made better because, depending on how old the garment is, finer methods of production were employed. Many garments were sewn by taylors who made a career of making fine dresses, suits, etc. Also natrual organic fibers such as silk, cotton, linen, etc. were the norm. Sweaters were angora, cotton, cashmiere, the good stuff, not polyesters of many sweaters of today. But, if you mean original clothing to be not used, that can have some real assets too. Longer wear if its new. If it is a good garment, it will be as well made as a vintage, so its hard to say.
