It's true that AB runs in real time and the filtering is manual. But they do get it cleaned up. One thing you can do to help is click the "FLAG THIS QUESTION" on the lower right side of the question or answer, there is a spam/offensive selection that brings it to the attention of the staff.

I personally do not curse on here. I am not justifying there actions but why are there kids on this website
-
Children or not - colorful words don't need to be used. We have a large vocabulary. We can get the point across without them.
-
where are these children?
-
I agree even though I did put one on here tonight. I don't usually use curse words, however. And you're right there are children here and that kind of language is unnecessary.
-
If you have children it is your responsibility to monitor what they are exposed to. If you don't want them exposed to "foul" language or to adult/mature themes, it is up to you to restrict your child's access to child-friendly sites/environments. It is not up to the general public to take care of your children. When we're talking the streets or grocery stores or other places where people have to bring their children as a matter of course, perhaps it is poor manners to swear or use foul language when there are children present. But this is a completely different situation than that. Your children do not have to come on answerbag as a matter of course. If you don't like the language some people use on answerbag, it is completely within your powers to prevent your kids from coming on here.

Yeah, manners. Children or no children. My mother says "Profanity is a sign of a small vocabulary."
-
What were they doing? Talking like a duck? Just kidding. Flag these questions and then it becomes AB's problem to deal with.
-
i can guarantee that my content is far worse than my language.
-
you got to be kidding. Kids have to be 14 to even be on this site and I have kids use worse language than stuff I hear on here. With all the crap they hear in the media and on video games and someone is worried about the words used on here. In the first place, this is a public forum and there is such a thing as freedom of speech within reason..if you don't want your kids exposed to it, monitor their websites. If it's racist or threatening, please report but I can guarantee you that kids hear more in the media than they will ever read on here
