  • Crocodiles differ from alligators in that they have a narrower, more pointed snout and their fourth tooth on the lower jaw can always be seen, even when their mouth is shut. They are also generally larger. The head of the cayman is more like that of the alligator but is not so broad. Alligators and caymans are greenish-black in general colouration.
  • The answer is correct, i just wanted to add an intresting fact to go along with it. To estimate the size of an alligator, you measure the length from the tip of the nose to the eyes in inches, and the alligator is that many feet long. With crocodiles you measure the length from the heel to the longest toe of the hind foot in inches, and that is the length of the crocodile in feet. That's providing you wanna get close enough to measure. Just thought it might be cool to share
