Why do people automatically think that a transgendered person is same sex attracted? From what I've seen it seems the majority (especially m to f) are attracted to the opposite birth gender only which then does make them lesbian afterward.

People tend to assume that the reason people want to change their gender is so that it will be "normal" to like same-gender people. Like, a woman will want to become a man so that the fact that she likes women will become "normal". For a lot of ignorant people, "transgendered" automatically means "gay". This, as we all well know, is a bunch of crap. People change their gender because they strongly feel born into the wrong bodies. They're essentially correcting a severe birth defect. Sexual orientation and one's gender status are almost completely unrelated. And as for "normality", well, who's to define it?

Some are straight and some are gay its that simple. the ones who are lesbian arent that popular and are picked on more. I have a friend who is a MTF lesbian so I understand.

Ditto! I am mtf trans and several ppl have asked me if I will change to liking guys now. Nope, I like girls I tell them. Yes, I have also noticed that mtf's tend to like girls majority of the time. I consider myself a lesbian cuz I identify myself as a female and I like girls.

I don't know what people think. I know what I as a TG think, but that is probaly not what someone else, TG or not, thinks. Personally I don't care what the gender of my partner is. I am interested in a person based on our respective attractions to each other on mental and physical levels. Sex is just a small part of a decent relationship. I can't take care of a woman's physical needs, but can curl her toes and fulfil her mental sexual needs. Men are easy to deal with sexually by comparison. Women are easier to deal with outside of intimacy.
