Depends. If the person has interesting things to say, I'd say the talker. But if it's just blabbering, the silent one.

If your talking just to hear yourself talk, then your starting to annoy me.

I dislike it when people say offensive or stupid things. It doesn't matter if it is once in a blue moon or constantly. I tend to have 'chatterbox' or 'wallflower' as a personality trait, and therefore dislike no one because of it. We are all different after all, else the world would be very dull (and either very loud or very quiet)

I hate silent people. It makes me think they have nothing going on up there. And personally being one who doesn't shut up, I can't say that "we" suck. =)

The one who can't shut up! I can't have anyone competing with me! *snicker* (I'm kidding, people, I'm kidding!) Honestly, though, the one who can't stop talking.

It depends on the situation. When I want to be entertained, a person who doesn't shut up could be very good. When I want to discuss my own issues, a person who doesn't say much would probably be better. I think we can all be a person that doesn't say much or a person that doesn't shut up. It would be better if we learned to check out which role is appropriate at the moment. In communication, a minimum of input and a minimum of feedback are required.

Sometimes too quiet is too much but if I have to choose I would say the person that won't shut up. How interesting is it to hear someone else ramble on?

Uh, funny you asked we have a friend that never shuts up and never lets you finish what your talking about cause they've already been there or done that...its very annoying! And, as for the one that doesn't say much I'd like to hear some conversation or gossip from them..lol
