the song by Van Morrison, Brown Eyed Girl ,my mother just fell in love with when it first came out.she would keep asking my sister to play it again and again. now every time i hear it ,it reminds me of that.

Night and Day by Frank Sinatra/ There is a Green Hill Far Away (hymn)-both sung at mum's funeral, both favourites. I sang the hymn (on recording-couldn't do it live) Pokarekareana (Maori song) and It's So Hard to say Goodbye to Yesterday (Boyz to Men)-sung at my father's funeral by my brother in law's band and their support band together...just beautiful.

Mercy Street by Peter Gabriel reminds me of my father. It was one of the last songs I remember hearing before he died. My mom wasn't a big music person, but if anything, Anne Murray's Hippo in the Bathtub is probably the most likely suspect...the only song I remember hearing with her when I was younger.

Anything by John Cougar from the 80's reminds me of my mom. We used to listen to that together when I was little. And any of the earlier Bruce Springsteen reminds me of my dad. He's the one who made me an obsessed Springsteen fan!!!

Dance with my father by luther vandross; My father died when I was two in the line of duty as a police officer. My mom and him were so in love and everytime I hear this song he reminds me of them and what we lost; a husband; a father but not only that we both lost are hero.
