-
725-4457 until 2 weeks ago. Parents moved to new town but that was our number for 36 years.
-
Yes! because it is the same 20 years later.
-
I do. 274-5473.
-
Well, we moved from the house where I was born when I was just 4 years old, but I do remember the phone number from the second house: 521-8723
-
Yes, my parents still have it.
-
It is easy to remember, as it is still my Mom's phone number - 383-1096.
-
944-6935, yes indeed
-
Yep... its the same number I have now... without an area code...
-
Yup. 633-7899
-
Yep. But I don't remember it with numbers because back then we had letters as the first couple of digits. It was DI5-1167
-
Yep, 862-3606...Funny thing is I don't remember my address.
-
i do,it was 485-5726
-
Yep. 358-976. Very easy to remember.
-
I've since forgot my first landline number, but I can remember my mobile number that I had until last year.
-
512-375-2219. but unless long distance you only had to dial 5-2219. Thats how old I am......and it was a "party line", us and 4 others were on same phone exchange. You could listen to neighbors if you were real quiet, and I know they listned to us. I used to say crazy shit just cuz I knew the old lady down the road was listening. LOL.
-
not a chance.
-
0254 248936. Really easy to remember actually!
-
Yes it is still my parent's phone number. The only thing that changed was the area code.
-
1) the 22 in Asnières, a sketch by Fernand Raynaud, a french humorist 2) a running gag in "The Adventures of Tintin" (a series of comic books created by Belgian artist Hergé) Some people are always calling at Moulinsart castle (N° 421) and want to talk to the butcher Sanzot (N° 431). 3) the number of my grandmother, because that was the one which did not change for years.
-
Even though our family gave it up 37 years ago, it was 444-0349.
-
Yes, but I can't share it in case it is an active number. Funny, I used to dial it when I was in my own house and wanted to reach pretty much anyone...I thought it worked to get a hold of everyone LOL
-
I tried and I tried and I TRIED! to no avail! I've had so many, MANY phone numbers throughout my childhood and yes, even adulthood...I simply can't remember :-(
-
754-2473. that was my number up until i moved when i was 7
-
We've only had one phone number and it's still the same :-)
-
sure can!
-
Yes I do, and I have lived in many places with many different numbers since.
-
Yes it's 644-3829 Now just give it a call. lol
-
Yes !! 867-5309 Then we moved and the phone company issued it to some chick named Jenny. Go Figure ....
-
Yes 784-....I forgot the rest. I still remember my first address though.
-
yes...it was 465 8676 Funny story...back when I was first married...just moved out of my Folks house..our first place FIRST phone number as an adult...it was one digit off from the Sexual Freedom League....OY the calls we used to get. One day a guy called and sounded just like my husband. He started talking slightly sexy...and wanted to have lunch together...I THOUGHT...IT WAS MY HUSBAND...!!! When I finally figured out that it wasn't I said, "You know what? I thought you were my husband, and you're NOT. So, I'm afraid I'm going to have to decline lunch...and everything else mentioned as well...have a nice life." Click He was nice enough NOT to ever call back.
-
Yes, my parents STILL have the same number - over 46 yrs ago! Back when I was a kid, the first three numbers, 255, was listed as BL5, which stood for Blackburn 5. BL5-2642. I think it was in the 70's that it became all numeric: 255-2642. The only thing that's changed was the area code in the 90's to accommodate the area's growth. Our old neighbor had 255-2641, and still does! (My parents moved across town but kept their old number in the 70's.)
-
yes, it was 944-6935
-
Yep, 695370, only about 10 years ago, they made us stick a 2 at the beginning. Its the same number now
-
Yes mine began with 666! strangely enough my parents marriage fell apart, mum had a near fatal car crash, my brother blew his face off and things weren't too hot for me either.
-
yes, it was 741572. my mum made me rhyme it off to her everyday, so much so that i couldnt remember our next number for months after we moved!
-
yes, my parents have had it for around 30 years.
-
No.
-
No, the first phone number I only had until i was about 6 months old. The second, until I was 4 (and still too young to know anything about phone numbers). The third number I had until I was about 8 so I do remember that one... 3661165. I remember some, but not all, of my phone numbers since then..
-
Yeah 867-5309 Jenny
-
Yes, 444-0349. That was from 37 years ago.
-
937-0263
-
Well, not the one my parents had before I was 6 months old, no.
-
yes 871 4218 I was almost 5 when we got ir and was 14 or 15 when it changed cause we moved out of the area.
-
Yes, but it wasn't a number. When I was about 5 years, I picked up the phone and said I want to talk to Grandma Rose, and the operator said OK, and rang her up (as we used to say) in 1948. A couple of years later, we would pick up the phone and say "exchange 221" and the operator would do this - ring, ring (pause) ring, ring (pause) ring. Whenever our phone would ring, we would count the rings to see if it was us (1,l,2)and then answer.
-
I remember the phone number when I was around 6-7 years old in the early 60s. They weren't just numbers back then. They started with letters. I guess that's why it seems easier to remember. And those letters stood for a word. Our 'word' was Dickens, DI. I wonder why we don't use those letters anymore? It sure helped in keeping track of areas.
-
I remember it from 1990. My mom's first house number.
-
I remember my first cell phone number. I got it in 2005.
-
Yes, when I was a kid, phone numbers were different. Your exchange was expressed with a word. Like BAldwin or AXminster or UNion. You dialed the letters. BAldwin was 22 Axminster was 29 and so on. If asked your phone number you would reply "union 6-4785" Then they dropped the exchange names and went numbers only 866-4785. There were no area codes then. All long Distance calls had to be placed by an operator. Our phone was ULrick 9-4973 in about 1958. Later became 859-4973. My parents had that number until they moved away in about 1984.
-
yes,ch4-5404. and that was around 55 years ago,I can't remember much after about 10 seconds now,but still have some of the old stuff in there.lol
-

-
No, but I remember my cousins phone # - BL4-5275, (as you can see, it was back when you always SAID the 1st two letters. Later, we moved to a very small town where you only dialed 4 numbers! AHHH ... the good ol' days!

-
Yep, it was 415-359-0208. We had that number for many years until some horrible crank callers forced my parents to finally change the number and end the crank calls.
-
Yep, My first number as a kid was 782-9457, But i'd always dial numbers i'd hear in music like "911-0024", I'd always get in trouble for that on though, another I sometimes dial was also from a song "777-8311, Baby just give me a call, how long will it take to break you off." LOL
-
It's the same one my parents still have. They've had it since 1969. I've had my own number since 1990.
-
Yes. My parents got it in 1969 and still have it today.
-
Yes, I remember all the phone numbers my family has had for the last 25 years. The oldest one I recall is our old number in Norway, from 1983.
-
no, but I remember my Grandma's phone number. When my sister was three just would always ask me to dial my Grandma's number for her. I got tired of her asking and taught it to her. Now she writes books and magazine articles on teaching, home schooled her boys and is an online tutor. She also gives speeches on home-schooling.
-

Not only do I remember it, I still have it! I purchased my parents house from them when they retired and the phone number came with it. The number was first issued to my family when we moved into our town on my first birthday in 1964! It has followed our family to three different houses and has been ported over to VOIP. And with odds of 10000 to 1 my last car came with OnStar and the randomly assigned phone number has the same last 4 digits! (4759)
-
