NO no no NO. I'm sorry but you have this allllll wrong. The bible tells its followers that you should save yourself for when your MARRIED. It's not against sex. God created sex to be good, just you should wait for marriage, save yourself for that special someone.

What? It is not against Christian teaching to have sex? The Bible clearly says that God created woman for man so he would not be alone. If he had not meant for sex, he would have left Adam as he was. Straight after the creation of Eve, the Bible says "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh." Genesis 2:24 That clearly indicates sex. NO matter how strangely some Christian denominations have viewed sex over the centuries, the Bible does not teach that sex is wrong. It simply says that sex should take place in the context of marriage, as that is the most beneficial for society. You are correct when you say that the Bible says As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it." (Genesis 9). But the context is always in the relationship of marriage.

Excuse me but Catholics ARE Christians. and the Christian Churches do not say you are not allowed to have sex, they say that sex is for procreation.How else would we have babies.

It isn't against the bible to have sex. You have been given some wrong information. There is even a whole book of the bible dedicated the physical love between a man and a woman called Song of Songs. The reason this book is in the bible is because the joy and dignity of human love in marriage is of divine origin. Human sexuality and marriage proceeded the fall of humankind into sin (Ge 2:18-25). God wanted us to know that even though sin has marred this experience it can still be pure and wholesome and beautiful. This book is a model of what the sexual love should be.

The Bible does not say it is a sin to have sex.It says its a sin to not be married and have sex or to have sex with someone other than your spouse.I do not know about the catholic faith just my own.

Hello there! Have not all of you out there heard it is a good thing to ask questions? Give the person a break!! Questions can generally be regarded as an indication of a search, perhaps this person is seeking. Woe to any of who may deter this my rash comments simply becasue we take the question persoanally and then do not even attempt to answer it. Jesus call us to be ready and always have an account for why we beleive what we beleive, not to insult another for asking a question that may appear offensive. On a final note, it is apparent to anyone who however listened to a Protestant or Catholic, that the Catholics define themselves as such. Is is unreasonable then for another to make that distintion in a question? I think not. With regard to sex, the Bible does not say we cannot have sex. In fact Genesis reveals the command of God for man to "go forth and multiply". What is wrong is any for of sexual immorality such as pre-marital sex otherwise known as fornication, homosexuality, prostitution, adultery,incest, beastiality, polygamy lustful thought etc... A chrisitian, wehter Protestant or Catholic, is regard their body as a temple where the Holy Spirit resides. As such we are called to respect the body,behaving as those showing gratitude to God by honouring Him through our words and deeds. Adam and Eve were called man in wife in scripture, thus sex outside of the marriage bond, within a familiy as prescribed by God is sin. And, yes it is possible for a woman to get pregnant without having sex! It has been done before, Mary the Blessed Mother of Jesus infact concieved Him this way. Remeber nothing is impossible for God!!!

The bible is not against sex at proper time with proper partners. Why not read it and you will find all yu answers in it. For every question you could ever ask, there is an snswer in the bible for it. Just read and look and be open minded.
