  • Don't you think we should know a little more about it before we go messing with it? Don't you watch Sci Fi movies? lol
  • Not right now, Im busy globalising. Once most of us agree its a useful next step, (perhaps in about 100 years?) then maybe.
  • Only in the very simplest of ways. There are some genes for very serious diseases like Huntingdon's and Multiple Sclerosis. It would be a good idea to try to stop those being passed on. But beyond such very simple cases, it would be very dangerous to assume we know what is best for the species. If we try and steer our evolution, we could steer it straight into a blind alley. We need much, much more wisdom before we attempty anything so dangerous.
  • Doing my best by not procreating!
  • The only gnomes I have are in my garden.....
  • The movie GATTACA plays with that idea with an extream point ov view. Basicly: the human DNA code has be broken and mapped; scientists improve it. Theres some people however that are still born as "normies" without genectic improvements. They get crap jobs and harsh discrimination cause corporations, insurance and other organizations dont want to take the risk. Like i said, extream point of view... but makes you think a bit.
  • If we can do it without harming people, that'd be great! As Cramidy said, I wouldn't want a GATTACA situation.
  • Who would get to decide what's an "improvement"? One person? A committee? Individual scientists? A vote by everybody planet-wide? You'd get very different answers depending who you ask!
