no, but thanks for playing anyhow. i think jesus, if he actually walked the earth, probably was a pretty nice guy. other than that, i don't know.
-
isn't that the same thing?

I asked this question, because their's alot of people out there that call themselves christians but are really not. Many people have a different meaning for the word christian. My dad use to tell me it's better to say Follower of Christ, Why? because Follower of Christ sounds a little better; it represents a true follower. I call myself a christian, but this just brought back memories of what my dad once told me and I thought it was a good idea.
-
No. I am Jewish.
-
Neither.
-
I am Christian in the sense that I believe the much of what Jesus taught and did was for the betterment of people, and that's a fine way to live. I don't adhere to religious dogma, take the bible as the Word of God or attend church and I'm open to the good works of any other leader or person. I guess you could say I have Christian tendencies.
-
HELL NO. Hell no! :D Sorry there, Christians.
-
I follow Christ and obey his father. Jesus is my model. I leave what to call me to others. "Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness"
-
No, I would not call myself either of those. Insted of a Christan, you may call me an atheist. Insted of Follower of Christ, you could say I follow my heart and mind.
-
I suppose both. A Christian basically is a follower of Christ. Although I wouldn't consider myself a very good Christian. Just a sinner saved by the grace of God who's telling people about what the Lord Jesus has done for me and about His love for them and that they too can be saved and born-again into God's family just as I have. I'll admitt, I do not always obey the Lord. I sin quite a bit, and I'm ashamed of that. I'm not the Christian that I aught to be. I have nothing in myself to boast about. I give the glory to God for making me what I am today. However, God is my Potter and my Father and I am His clay and His child. He's still working on me to make me what I aught to be and I have faith in Him. -In the service of King Jesus Thank you and God bless you!
-
Both. I know that God loves me so much that He sent His only Son to die a horrific death on a cross for my sins. In His service, <:))))<>< "My salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty rock, my refuge." Psalm 62:7
-
Neither. Was. Not anymore.
-
I would consider myself a Christian and Follower of Christ. I think it just means you have to live up to what you say you are. We fall down, but we get up. God definetly gives us the strength to carry on, even in these hard times. God Bless. and thanks to everyone's answers and participation.

I consider myself neither.

The disciples of Jesus were no doubt followers of Christ but I doubt whether they considered themselves Christians. In fact the words ‘Christian’ and ‘Christianity’ are neither present in the OT nor in any of the four Gospels and there is no record in the Bible of Jesus ever using them. The word ‘Christian’ appears only three times in the NT (Acts 11:26, Acts 26:28, Peter 4:16). And, according to Acts 11:26 “…the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch,” this was about 43 years after Jesus. It appears that the term was used in a derogatory manner by non-believers. Apparently the term became commonly used by those who hunted down and persecuted the followers of Jesus by the time Nero came to power. The words normally used by the followers of Christ were ‘brethren’, ‘believers’, ‘saints’ and ‘disciples’ (Acts 1.16, 2.44, 9.32 and 11.26 respectively) not Christians. Perhaps Muslims should be considered the best Christians or followers of Christ. Why, because, if a Christian is one who believes in and is faithful to the practices and teachings of Christ then Muslims would appear to have the best qualifications. They (Muslims) believe in Jesus. Their faith, Islam, is the only faith in the world, apart from Christianity, that requires belief in Jesus. Their Holy Qur’an (HQ) speaks highly of Jesus and his mother Mary (for example, from the translations of Mr Pickthall and others, HQ 3:37 “He made her (Mary) grow in purity and beauty” HQ 3:42 “And when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! God hath chosen thee and made thee pure, and hath preferred thee above (all) the women of creation.” HQ 3:49 “I (Jesus) heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I raise the dead, by God's leave. And I (know and) announce unto you what ye eat and what ye store up in your houses. Lo! herein verily is a portent for you, if ye are believers.“ HQ 5:110 “When God saith: O Jesus, son of Mary! Remember My favour unto thee and unto thy mother; how I strengthened thee with the Holy Spirit, so that thou spakest unto mankind in the cradle as in maturity; and how I taught thee the Scripture and Wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel”) Muslims do not accept the teachings of Paul where he overrides Christ, as Jesus himself said “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master” (Matthew 10:24) and Paul was not even a disciple, he never met Jesus in person. Muslims are also closest in imitation to Jesus than anybody else. Like Jesus did (Mark 12:29 and John 17:3) they strictly declare only one true God. Like Jesus (John 5:30-31) they wish to do only the will of God. Like Jesus emphasizes in Matthew 5:20 and 19:17 they believe salvation is through good deeds. Like Jesus would have insisted (Exodus 20:4 and Deutoronomy 5:8) they do not keep images. Like Jesus would have done (Acts 7:33) they remove their shoes when entering mosques. Like Jesus would have done (Acts 21:26, Exodus 40:31-32) they wash themselves before praying. Like Jesus did (Mathew 26:39) they fall on their faces in prostration in their prayers. Like Jesus they do not eat pork. Like Jesus (Luke 2:21, John 7:23 and Acts 7:8) their males are circumcised. Like Jesus would have done (Matthew 17:21) they fast. Like Jesus (Luke 24:36) they greet with the words “peace be unto you”. Like the women in the time of Jesus (1 Corinthians 11:6) their women cover themselves. Like Jesus would have done, they sometimes wear long robes. Like Jesus would have done they mostly keep their beards.

Yes I would consider myself a Christian and a follower of Christ. I consider myself one because I believe in him as my savior and I follow his ways.
-
No. I am not a follower of any religion or "god". I respect people's need to have something to believe in, but it's not for me.

When I was heavily troubled, I believed, hoped, had faith, pursued, and followed the most high relentlessly. Jesus said, “Pick up your cross and follow me.” For Jesus, the cross He bore was the sins of mankind. We each do have a cross we are to bear. For some of us it may be a marriage that is in trouble. Many are bearing a cross of physical affliction. Some are bearing a cross of financial difficulties. We each have a cross to bear. How we bear that cross each day becomes the challenge we face. The most high is full of true unconditional love for all and knows you better than you know yourself. Oftentimes, the cross we bear keeps us humble and constantly reminded that it is not in our strength that we live but in His. Give thanks in all things including the cross you bear. Don’t forget that nothing happens in your life that the most high doesn’t know about or allow to happen. The farther you get from the most high the heavier that cross will become. It is through carrying the cross each day that we become perfected and walk hand in hand with the most high. He is in me and I am in him. The relationship is direct so there’s no fear of him or of those that are still in pursuit. When the relationship is direct, there’s no search, hope or belief because the relationship is real and factual, not fictional, abstract, or farfetched. Faith, hope, and beliefs are needed when one is still in pursuit of the most high. When one walks hand in hand with the most high, when one have direct contact and relationship with him, it is absolutely absurd to have faith, hope, beliefs, or doctrines in and about what is real, factual, and true. Only lost and misguided souls, those who live in misunderstanding and constant fear, require guidance. The one who walks with the most high requires no guidance for he is not lost. How can he be lost if he walks with the most high? The most high abides in him and he abides in the most high. It is only lost and misguided souls that are forever in search, in pursuit, of the most high. You need faith and beliefs when you are not quite certain, when there’s no direct relationship, when there’s confusion and no understanding of your relationship with the most high. It is absolutely necessary to believe, hope, or have faith in the most high when there’s no direct relationship with him. Without that faith or belief, life becomes dull and mediocre. Faith and belief then becomes the nearest escape to fill up all the emptiness or wash away all the guilt one feels within, for he is obsessed with results, the solution for all the pain, rather than understanding the state of emptiness or sorrow. Total freedom is never direct. There’s no method, doctrine, or practice that brings about total freedom. Total freedom comes about as a byproduct of understanding the state of sorrow or whatever state at present. Understanding is only possible when one is not afraid but is in direct contact with what is at present and not judging, analyzing, or trying to escape it. When there’s that direct contact or relationship with what is at present, beliefs, faith, and hope are all irrelevant. Such a relationship is built on agility, understanding, and love, not fear. When there’s no inward alertness, understanding and love, every practice or dogma is only a distraction, an escape from the actuality of what is at present. The idea of and about the most high then becomes of absolute truth and importance. The factuality and actuality of the most high, which is always at present, cannot be comprehended when the idea of the most high becomes your reality. Ideas become a reality only when one cannot face and accept what is at present. Ideas of and about the most high -misunderstanding of the relationship with the most high, results in all sorts of dogmas. A system of belief, however potent and compelling it may be, will everlastingly hinder a true significant relationship with what is real.Religion, as depicted by the world today, is absolutely essential for those who do not have a direct relationship with the most high. One who has a real and direct relationship with the most high, whose relationship is not built on fear, beliefs, and misinterpretation but founded on the understanding and love of what is at present, does not need dogmas. Dogmas are for followers, the impersonators, and all who lack the agility to be present. He that does not know who he is or accept himself for who and what he is at present, requires faith and a belief system for conviction. For it is only by faith and beliefs he can act. Religion, as depicted by the world today, is conditioned and full of conflict and fear. True relationship with the most high is free of conditioning, dogmas, and is not run by fear. Real true love is free of conditioning and true love is the only real religion because it is not conditioned. True love is not prejudice or time bound. In true love, which is always real and direct, fear is dealt with in relative accordance to however it manifests at present. Fear is never absolute. Fear is only a reaction to what is true and real in the present moment and there’s always sufficient energy at present to deal with and transcend fear. Fear is always present when real love is absent and when there’s minimal understanding of what is at present. In the absence of real love, whatever takes the form of love is conditioned. Conditioned love, which is always limited, is not real love. The most high, which is free of conditioning, is one with true love. Wherever there’s dominion and conviction rooted in fear, there’s no genuine love. Where there’s true love, there’s no dominance by fear but awareness and understanding of the nature of fear itself. When the mind and heart are apprehended by fear, by lack of understanding, by compulsion, such a mind, though it may love within the confines, within the limitations of that fear, is not loving genuinely, and its action must ever throw up new barriers, new dogmas. Therefore, its capacity to love is ever being limited. But if the mind frees itself, through the understanding of circumstances and, therefore, acts, then that very action is true love. An act of true love is free of self gratification and does not have a background of intent out of which action arises. True love is an action full of spontaneity. It demands no outcome, security, opinion, or enlightenment for there’s nothing clearer, brighter, and greater than true love. True unconditional love is really not a religion but rather a way of life. Paradoxically such a way of life just happens to be religious.

No. Christ was a great man but to say he the only son of a God is not truth Buddha and Mohammad were also great men and sons of God.It all depend on your concept of what a God is,I was created in Gods image that makes me a son of God also I am not lost so why do I need someone to follow? thy kingdom is come thy will be done on earth.I never seen a burning bush God speaks threw other people some speak more clearly then others.God is not of this earth there for a alien so the sons of God were half breeds to exist in our reality for God is pure spirit and we are spiritual beings trapped in earth bound bodys and our soals are recycled till judgment day.Sorry if I offended anyone's beliefs In my heart I believe this to be truth

Yes, I am a follower of Christ Jesus the only begotten Son of God; the creator of the universe. I say this in a specific way because there have been and will be many whom claim to be "christ" who are not. There is only one true Christ, and yes, I totally believe in Him and follow Him.
