I might be a tiny bit less attracted to them becuase of that but would put it off to some gardening or something equally dirty. If we were to meet again and he had dirty nails and there seemed to be no other reason for them, then that might make some difference in my attraction to him.

No. fingernails tell a lot about a persons cleanliness. this does not apply to mechanics or other occupations where the dirt is impossible to remove. Other than the above, the first thing i noticed about my wife was her clean hands and fingernails. i new that if we married, the food she prepared for me would be just as clean as her hands. and, rightly so. I have always had this theory......that if a person looks clean and presentable on the outside, the inside of that person is probably the same. this has proven correct over many years. No attraction to dirty fingers or toenails.

I don't judge people on trivial things like that. It could just mean that they are a damn hard worker, or like me I sometimes work on cars, and you can't always get axle grease out from your nails on the first try, sometimes it takes days. It doesn't mean I'm dirty, I just like to work on dirty things. Then again, not too many women out there under a car taking it apart...

When I see a very attractive person, their fingernails are the last thing I am interested in really. So I don't think I'd care. If they were genuienly ATROCIOUS and borderline cancerous or something, then I'd have them clean them out. *shrug* no biggie.

The wording of your question is actually self answering, if you find them attractive, that means you are attracted. My answer is yes. I've met attractive people cleaning animal poop with thier hands. That was one of the things I found attractive about them (sucker for animal lovers).

Since I'm usally attracted to working guys who have hands rough and stained from work so it would acctually put me on them more.It's smell that matters to me. If they smell bad no go.

No I wouldn't. If they can't take care of simple hygiene like that, I can only imagine what other things they are not taking care of.

When I first met my fiance... (wait, who am I kidding.. they're worse now) ...his hands were atrocious. Calloused from work and from weightlifting, his fingernails were all but nonexistant, and caked with woodfinish. They were quite possibly the most beautiful hands I had ever seen on a man. I was actually MORE attracted to him because of his "working-man's hands"
