  • Absolutely no way. How you like to be experimented on, poked and prodded while having no idea what was going on, and sometimes with serious side effects? Its not like the animals have a say. We should experiment with humans. Atleast we have their permission and they can tell us how the feel and how the experiment is affecting them.
  • No way. About time some animals were let loose on scientists
  • Good question- maximal points. No way, it's very cruel. There are a lot of tests that can be done without torturing animals- it's just that it cheaper or easier to use animals. When I buy cosmetics, I ONLY ever buy products that haven't been tested on animals.
  • Yes, I do think they need to. Almost everything we have for fighting every disease from cancer to flu, and every medical procedure we know of has come from testing on animals. Ethics need to be followed and cruelty needs to be minimised and lines need to be drawn and redrawn always - but until testing can be done without animals altogether (eg: ever more sophisticated computer modelling), I will take a cancer cure over the comfort of some mice every time.
