Climate change is real! So, I would ratify the Kyoto Protocol to show that the United States who is the biggest polluter with 25% of the whole world's pollution,, was prepared at long last, to join all those other countries that have already implemented reductions in carbon dioxide emissions. Our children inherit the mess we are leaving behind and they will not thank you, Mr Bush unless you do something NOW!

I would request that our three branches of our Government, the executive, the legislative and the judicial go into one large room, provide sleeping bags and food, no phones, lock the doors and no one leaves until resolutions to the top 10 issues to America are agreed to and signed into law!

Sign the Kyoto Protocol, tax heavily the oil firms and spend the money on green technology. Stop all defence spending and feed the hungry in the third world, order the building of hospitals and schools where needed, pull troops out of militarised zones and work toward world peace. Say sorry for Iraq and sort out the mess somehow.

Be afraid... Be very afraid. But seriously... I would address the issues in the Middle East and Russia and redistribute and relieve the troops directly. I would fix the defecit. I would do my very best to pay off china in a one time agreement one shot chance at redemption and clean that proverbial slate but fast! I would change the way that wealth is gained and distributed in this country and I would work to improve and ammend the entire political system as a whole. then... when i was done with that. I would work on alternative energy.

Get rid of the infamous list of countries that support terrorism, encourage open dialog with former foes through UN mediation, and propose cooperative international efforts toward the development of technologies that benefit people in need rather then corporations in greed.

I would place a heavy tariff on anything that comes in from another country if the goods were once made in the US, making it more expensive to produce goods overseas and ship them here. I would raise the minimum salary a teacher receives and give yearly bonuses based off of the students performances. I would overhaul our CPS system so that the children that are in abusive homes would have a much better chance of getting out and into a good home. I would get rid of the electoral college and use popular vote (aka: who actually had more Americans vote for them) to determine presidential elections. Anyone with a yearly income over 1 million would face a 40% income tax. I think those are the first things I would do. I think our focus needs to be on our own home and not on our neighbors.

Stop the war. That simple.
