By act on them do you mean... Carry them out!? If so then no it is not a bad thing that you aren't killing yourself! If these thoughts keep occurring, I think it would be best to seek out some professional help. Don't let these thoughts run your life.
-
Well, it's better than acting on them. I believe everyone at one time or another thinks about suicide, at least in passing. If these thoughts persist, though, they may indicate a deeper problem. Depression and stress can be combatted with counseling and sometimes medication. If you are having peristent thoughts about suiced, seek halp before the problem gets worse.

The thoughts are not bad, in a punishable way. It's bad that you would feel this way about yourself. I think that you might want to see a counselor, or someone in that sort of profession who can help you work out your thoughts. It is good that you don't act on them.

Your thoughts are neither good nor bad, and should not be judged as such. They are of concern to your physical and emotional well-being. It makes me wonder what is going on in your (or the hypothetical person's) physiology and life (in terms of stressors). I think you should get a check-up from your physician ASAP.

No, for some people it is common. You can think about death, it would be unwise if you would not. You can have suicidal thoughts, for instance if you feel very bad. It is a problem if you have these thoughts very often. It could happen that you kill yourself in a situation where you are somewhat out of your mind or particularly distressed. If you have these thoughts, but you do not kill yourself, I would take it as a sign that you are not so sure about it. Just don't do it and think about it again when you feel better. Or try to get help. If you do not try you will never know what you missed. I had these thoughts sometimes, but I am glad that I did not do it. I think in the meantime that there are very few situations where it would be the only way.

I think it's normal to wonder what will happen after life and most people have them (teenage is common). When those thoughts start interfering with everyday activities and personal health, then it's a problem. I'm not clear on what you mean by "not to act on them".....do you mean to study philosophy of death? write journals about suicide? Do a HAROLD & MAUDE? Seek out counseling if this whole issue is overwhelming.
-
i don't think so... i say that because i think it's fairly common for most people to have these thoughts at some point in their lives. i guess the question is perhaps if you are having them too often or feel like you might act on them? if so, you should definitely get some professional help. actually, it wouldn't hurt to talk to a doctor either way.
-
I don't think is bad cause most people have this thoughts even if they don't want to admit it i think that most of the people reach a point in their life's where they question if its all worth it and even think about suicide so no i don't think is bad.
-
It's not bad, but it could be dangerous. If the thoughts come back and back, get help.
-
not really but i would consider seeing a counselor, maybe he/she can help shed some light on why you are having these thoughts
