  • It's because the website administrators have not added it. Joel, one of the administrators, has argued with the administrator of another "question and answer" website on whether it's better to have the categories supplied for the users or to let the users make their own categories (or tags). I guess you can see what Joel decided to stick with. I understand why Joel has stuck with the current category format, having spent all that time updating AB with new feature and a new design, he's probably tired of updating for the time being. If he gets some spare time with much motivation, he might consider changing it to allow custom categories... We'll just have to wait and see!
