How come Bob Dylan's version of Mr Tambourine Man doesn't have a tambourine in it?

Because I dont think it's in Dylan's interest to perform brilliantly musically wise. It's the lyrics that really count. He writes the best lyrics, the most meaningful lyrics i've ever heard. Maybe, perhaps, that's the reason why... I could be wrong.

Because it's darned near impossible to play a tambourine when you're strummiing a guitar. I'm surprised that he fits the harmonica in so well.
