I found out the what the problem was so I'll just answer my own question.
The PS3 was set up for a plasma tv so nothing would show up, I had to use someone elses plasma tv to change the settings to the old tvs.
Sorry if that isn't very clear, thats the best way that I can put it.

I think there's something wrong with your PSP. I don't have one and that's never happened that my electronic device has turned hot all of a sudden, so I'm not 100% sure. But I think it's your PSP. By what I'm seeing, your PSP and television don't match. Maybe the cable your're using is not "set up" for the PSP. Or maybe the PSP isn't "set up" for the kind of cable you're using. So it might be your television or the PSP. Because they might not "match."
So it might be either one.

Good luck figuring the answer out if I'm wrong.
On my ps3, the start menu is there but when i insert a disk it isn't showing up so I can play it

Playstation 3 I get blue screen good light in front good light when game is put in!!! Everything is pluged in right and I tried resetting. Nothing happens.
