Yep. I dont even have to buy a costume; it's great!!

Yes! Halloween is a very fun night. IF you leave "religion" OUT of it, and just have fun trick-or-treating for candy, or having costume parties.

It's one of the most idiotic pagan carryovers I ever heard of. I would abolish it if I were in charge. It's a celebration of evil and wickedness and this appeals to people's darker motives. It reminds me of my least favorite movie genre: Horror. I'm not a religious goody goody but I am not in favor of this holiday one bit in the least.

Yeah it's brilliant , i love having eggs thrown at my house !

Halloween might as well be a high holy day in our home. I don't consider is evil or wicked and I don't think it celebrates violence, darkenss or bad things. Halloween allows people to explore other personas and make friends with those elements in the world that scare them. It's a way of taking death, monsters and spirits and dragging them out into the light to examine. And enough with those razor blade in the apple stories.

What exactly is wrong with Halloween? Dressing up in scary costumes, ringing your neighbors doorbell at night, demanding candy or you'll egg their house.
-
Yes I do think it is. It is fun to go around getting free candy and causing havic around my neiborhood
-
yes both religously and secularly. Religiously Halloween is All Hallows Eve (Holy Evening)...the night before All Saints Day which originally a day to remember those who were matyred for the christian faith and Nov. 2 All Souls Day, which is a day to remember all who have died before us.Up until the 1950's the RCC held a liturgical vigil on Halloween.

Why is it that the kind, compassionate, God-loving Christians are always the harshest downraters? It's an OPINION, for Pete's sake.

I like the idea of costumes and canvassing for candy. I don't think it's a celebration of evil. I see it more as a fun day end the warm weather. Those who use it as an excuse for mischief or some things that are evil, are not doing it because of Halloween, just because they are mean people.

Personally, no, because of its Pagan origins and Occultic origins (of course Christmas and Easter also originally had ties to Paganism as well), but I think it is a great time and opprotunity to share the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with others. It's simple, you can hand out gospel tracts and/or Bibles to Trick-or-Treaters along with candy and treats. Some churches (such as mine) have a "Hallelujah Festival" which is an alternative to Halloween. It is a safe envirnoment for children and instead of dressing up in scary customes, they dress up as children from foreign countries or from around the world. Instead of "Trick-or-Treat", we do "Trunk-n-Treat" where the children are given candy and sometimes gospel tracts from the back of trucks in the parking lot. So, Halloween, although an Occult-rooted holiday of Satan, can be a great time to share the gospel of Christ with others. What better to do than serve the Lord Jesus Christ and fight Satan on his own holiday? I hope that this is helpful. -In the Master's service. Thank you and God bless you!

Remember that the holiday has been corrupted. It was formerly known as All Hallow's Eve, November 1 being All Saints Day. One of the pagan holidays merged into it is Dia de los muertos, Day of the Dead, which was to celebrate the deceased originating in Aztec Mexico. Ironic that All Saint's Day is the same date, since the missionaries brought disease which resulted in more Muertos for the Aztecs. In Europe, there were other pagan holidays associated with the end of the harvest and the oncoming of winter. I see no reason not to celebrate this holiday. It's been no more corrupted from its original intent than Easter with its eggs, bunnies, and candy themes.

I always liked that holiday.Dress up and be someone else for a night. It is a lot of innocent fun for both children and adults.

It was my favorite even before I became pagan! (...was old enough to decide for myself...) Dressing up and getting rewarded for it was great. Samhain is my favorite sabbat!

I enjoy the dress-up-in-costumes portion of Halloween and my sister lives in a neighborhood that closes the streets for the kids to trick-or-treat at the mailboxes WITH CHAPERONES! I have gotten to where I greatly dislike the door-to-door candy begging aspect of Halloween, as I feel like age 10 or 12 should be the cut-off point. I don't like 14 to 18 year olds and sometimes older banging on my door for hand-outs. I see an eventual end to Halloween as we older people once knew it, a Fall festival holiday to signify the end of the harvest season.
