I have worked both shifts and prefer four 10 hour shifts over five 8 hour shifts. Once you are already there another two hours does not really matter that much but another whole day does!
-
I truely like the 4 10 hour days. That is what I work now and I love it. You have to get up early but it is worth having that 3 day weekend.
-
I personally prefer the five day week.A friend of mine recently had to go to the doctor and he was told most of his ailments were attributed to doing shift work or starting early in the morning and then not sleeping enough.

Even better... think of the work you typically do in a day, adding in breaks, lunch, idle time, social time. I'm positive most people could fit the same amount of actual work time into four 8-hour days as they do in five days, and do it without too much inconvenience. Then you have a three day weekend. One to do the chores of the week, one to play and one to rest and prepare for the week. If it were up to me, I'd mandate three day weekends.

I work a 3 day 12.5 hour shift. It's much better working longer but less days. Take a weeks vacation, that's 10 days!
-
I would love to have 3 day weekends.. I think I could put up with the longer days
-
Either one sounds better than 5 10+ hour days. :)
-
4 - 10 hour days and a 3 day weekend for me
-
same with me
-
4 10s would be great.
-
I've done both and preferred the four 10s.
-
The 4 10s but the schedule I have is better. 3 12s, 3 days off then 4 12s 4 days off. It's sweeeeeeet!
-
I work a 3 day, 12.5 hour shift now. I'll keep that. The longer the weekend, the better.
-
i really wouldn't matter to me but I would save gasoline with the 4 days of 10 hours.. after all i would save 1 round trip a week...
