How come I am non-conformist and my radical attitude always lands me in controversy, yet I revel in such an environment?

Because you know in your heart that you're 'right' probably ; ) Reminds me of things that Socrates said, like that even if the whole world disagrees with you, it doesn't make you wrong, popular opinion doesn't make something right either, only critical thinking, etc I'd guess that you have thought about your actions quite a lot, believe that whatever you're doing which you've labelled 'non-conformist' and 'radical', is still the correct thing to be doing, thus you revel in the environment you're in right now *shrugs*

Without a degree of non-conformity, and those willing to take some risk, society molders. I am a bit like you. When someone says: do this, I say, "why?" not because I want to be rude necessarily, but I just want to know why. If someone says "some people don't like what you are doing" I say "but what about those who do?" I am always in trouble for my mouth.

Everyone has their own little thing, and a few aren't exactly socially acceptable. My thing is that I like to enrage people, usually devout religious types and other extremists. I will ask a question like, "Do you think Jesus would have sew with me if I said please?" just to gauge a reaction. We are similar, at least a little. Though our attitude and behavior may be controversial, we continue with it just because we love it.
