Just say, "It isn't." and be done with it. No need bothering with them about it. If they're stubborn enough not to even consider changing their mind, then you know it's not worth your time.

Honestly, there isn't much you can say to someone with this belief. This belief is centered in the belief that anything that is not of Yahweh (or His Trinity, depending upon whether or not the person accepts Trinitarianism) is by default of Satan.

Horus, as an Egyptian god, is not of Yahweh. Horus, in fact, predates Yahweh, but this historical fact is of little consequence to those of the Abrahamic line. Subsets of Evangelical Christians and Fundamentalist Muslims, in particular, believe that all deities other than Yahweh are immitated by Satan and His demons to deliberately misguide followers and lead them to Hell. By this view, any and all symbols not associated with Yahweh are Satanic.

You can try pointing out the history of the symbol, that it predates any Abrahamic tradition, and what the symbol actually means, but it will likely simply be a waste of your time.

How about saying "I know and if you mention it again, I shall have the spirits curse you".

    (what is it anyway?)

People do the same thing with the pentagram/pentacle. I typically kindly ask them to look it up before they go around shouting things on topics they're not well versed in.

Tell them it's actually the Eye Of The Flying Spaghetti Monster, who will evilly devour all their unbaptized meatballs.

Cranks like that deserve an answer like that.

Just tell them that firstly, it's none of their business and secondly, the Ancient Egyptian religion has their own devils and that if they must know, the Christian devil has his own image based off him.

The ancient Egyptian demonic being was known as the serpent Apep (Apophis), who would attack Ra on his trip through the underworld, would then be cut down and regenerate for the next passing.

As such, Apep was known as the serpent god (serpents being a large part of devildom in christianity), but also having the form of the Crocodile.. Converge the 2 together and you get primeval dragons (similar to the kamodo), another form of their devil.

Then converge this with the fact that Apep was created by one of the other deities (being Isis, though in some stories I believe it were Nephthys), in order to trick Ra into giving her the sacred name.

Thus he takes the role of deceiver.

Etc etc, tell them this and see how they talk themselves out of it. Seeing as he's over 4000 years old and all...

In a calm and resonable manner explain to them that "No, it's not. It's an ancient Egyptian symbol that stands for the God Horus." And leave it at that. If they get all hysteriacal walk away. But if they ask questions fill them in. A little knowkedge is a powerfull thing to building tolerance.

    1) Well, it won't always be sufficient to tell them that they are wrong. You could give them some references where they could inform themselves about it. But the danger is that they are so prisoners of their erroneous way of thinking that that they possily won't listen to you anyway.

    2) Here a discussed example:
"Marrs also attacks the practices of visualization and meditation:

"Through visualization, meditation and other means of achieving Kundalini or transformation, the individual focuses on the seven colours of the rainbow. In so doing, he unknowingly imbeds satanic images in his mind. Swirling in a sea of mesmerizing images, the colors become mandalas- hypnotic picturescapes of kaleidoscope images that reprogram the person's mind to accept the lies of 'The Presence,' who is the Devil...someday, unsuspectingly, they will visualize and be seized by a grinning pack of vicious demon beings staring at them through the fiery flames of hell."(44)

In other words, don't think, don't use your imagination, just accept the Bible as being literally true and obediently obey. Here Marrs is misusing the term kundalini again. Mandalas are elaborate circular patterns used for meditation. They are not used to reprogram people as Satanists. Meditation using mandalas doesn't result in demon possession.

Another common error that Marrs makes is his assumption that "Pagan and primitive peoples worshipped the sun as a god. But that was millennia ago, right? Surely, twentieth-century, educated man could never be fooled into revering a huge, burning, molten rock in the sky as divine, could he? The answer is yes, he could, if he is a New Ager. As preposterous as it may seem, the New Age has revived the ages-old belief in the Sun God- and millions are falling for this lie. Hitler once said if you're going to tell a lie, make it a big one and people will swallow it. A little lie they won't buy!"(45)

The belief that all primitive people worshipped the sun was a common assumption by folklorists and historians in past centuries, a belief that further study has proved false. It is ironic that Marrs thinks that twentieth century educated man can be fooled into believing his stuff. Any school child could tell you that the sun is not a burning rock.

Marrs even drags modern science fiction into it, stating that "...In Arthur Clarke's movie 2010, a new sun suddenly appears radiantly in the sky, bringing peace to earth just as the two hostile superpowers... are about to wage all-out nuclear war. Clarke reveals in his book of the same title who this mysterious and peaceful force appearing as the 'sun' is: Its name is Lucifer.[emphasis in original]"(46) Clarke wasn't using this name as a reference to Satan. He was using it for its literal Latin meaning ("bringer of light)."

Marrs even attacks the United Nations, reporting that "At the time of its construction in 1957, the U.N. Meditation Room was said by then-United Nations secretary Dag Hammarskjold to represent the uity of all world religions. Notably, this same Dag Hammarskjold worshipped a 'God' that excluded Jesus Christ as Lord, and yet his book of that era, Markings, won raves from many Christian leaders."(47)

Another symbol Marrs doesn't like is the eye: "The [symbol of the] all seeing eye does, indeed, represent unity- a unity that is inclusive of witchcraft, satanism, Hinduism, Shintoism, Buddhism, and every weird and strange cult that has ever existed, but a unity that excludes Jesus Christ. The origins of this symbol are in the Egyptian Mother Goddess religion. Hathor, the Sun Eye Goddess, was thought to come out of the dark night with her piercing eye that emanated from the very interior of the sun. Hathor was the Mistress of the Vulva, the goddess of drunkenness and partying, dance, music and song, and sexuality and fertility. In The Egyptian Book of the Dead, the dead are pictured as sitting with Hathor under a tree, to keep her company and seek renewal for themselves. She was the Cow Goddess (mistress of the Bull God) and as the Sun's eye, she, it was taught, uncovered the rebellious and punished them... New Age 'bibles' and leaders also teach that the all-seeing eye of Horus is the same as the eye of Shiva. Shiva is the Hindu equivalent of Horus the Egyptian Sun God."(48)

Hathor, whose name means "house of the face" or "house of Horus," wasn't a "Sun Eye Goddess," though she was a sky Goddess. She was a Goddess of pleasure and nurturing and protectress of the dead. Hathor wasn't the "sun's eye." The sun was one of the eyes of Horus, a falcon headed sky God, his other eye being the moon. Shiva, as I mentioned earlier, wasn't a sun god, but he does have an all seeing eye like Horus."

1st of all the Nubian symbolism is just that, Nubian!
Egyptian means the people who invaded our land & made themselves whatever they saw fit.

People who say that are brainwashed victims of the constant villification of African History by so-called western civilization!
The Zionist have used our secrets to keep you all in the dark about so many things from Nubia.
They will pay for what they've done & those of you who've never wondered what The Great Pyramid really is have no chance to come to this understanding before the pole shift.

Google up the South Atlantic Anomaly!
Then see how Sirius the pole shift is kids.
We already have a huge 4th dimensional event happening you are not being schooled on so wake up!
