Why do we care what other people (or certain people) think so much? Why is that?

    It's normal to want to be liked by others, because that validates who you are as a person...especially when you're younger. It's most important to be liked by those who are in control (like teachers, bosses, etcetera) because if they don't like you for whatever reason,they can harm you.
