I asked "How much do you really know about your children?" & "How much do your parents know about you?" The parents said they know alot about the kids & the kids said their parents knew very little about them. Which do you think is closer to the truth?

Probably somewhere in the middle. Parents sometimes know more about their children's behaviour than the children think they do, and yet, when it comes to thoughts and feelings, parents probably only know very little.

My kids are now adults so they let me know what they want me to know,as teens we are well known in our city so they got away with very little which really got up their noses.

I knew MOST things about my boys, but only because I worked with a lot of kids and they knew them! My daughter was different, she had lots of secrets! I only got through her teenage years because I trusted her.

I'm pretty sure the children would know better unless their parents stalked their every move without telling them and really did know everything about them. My mom knows very little about me as I very rarely talk to her. When I was younger, sure, she knew more about me back then because I talked to her more and spent more time with her. At this age, though? She doesn't know as much about my daily life. My dad knows a lot about me because we talk so much. However, he does not know everything there is to know about me. I don't plan on telling him everything there is to know anytime soon, either.
