I think it's way past time someone was too harsh on Paris Hilton
-
I think both she AND her mother got off very easy. Her mother's comments to the judge should have landed her in jail also.
-
I think she really flouted the law, knowingly, and for that she should be punished. Fining her would be no punishment as she has heaps of cash. She is no better than anyone else, and to claim that she didn't know she had no license and one of her "people" did not tell her is just plain ridiculous.

She needed to be brought down to the real world - No not at all was he harsh

G'day Missstarrie, Thank you for your question. I don't think so. Paris Hilton was placed on probation for her DUI offence for 36 months and given a fine of $1,500. She was found guilty of breaching three conditions of her probation namely she was pulled over driving at 70 mph without her headlights on in a 35 mph zone, she was found driving with a suspended license, and she violated the terms of her probation by failing to enroll in a court-ordered alcohol education program within 21 days of her January probation. She has now been sentenced to 45 days in prison for breaching her probation. As for the claims that she wasnt' aware that her license was suspended, she signed a document to that effect in January. Hopefully, she will wake up to herself in prison but I wouldn't bet money on it. I have attached sources for your reference. I think it's fair and I hope she realizes that laws apply to celebrities also. It's not 'hard time' but it's better than community service which is a complete joke.
-
Very fair and just. She violated probation, she pays the price. Pretending ignorance or asking for special treatment falls on deaf ears. Good! Though it will give her even more publicity and maybe a new tv show all about her experience! Oh, Horrors!!!
-
i heard on the news today that there is a petition to get her out of jail..for some reason...i think someone should start a petition to KEEP her in prison??? thousands hell millions of people would sign it compared to the 900 signatures they have to get her out of jail...just read a couple of lines they said about her... "She provides hope for young people all over the U.S. and the world. She provides beauty and excitement to (most of) our otherwise mundane lives." read the whole petition here http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/PH21781/

Definitely fair, she was warned and disobeyed, she showed complete stupidity and doesn't deserve to be over the law.
-
I think jail might be the best thing that ever happened to her.
-
If she gets out of this then our entire justice system is fucking rubbish. Put her in jail... IN GEN-POP!!! Let her experience a bit of the real world. If it were you or I, we'd go to jail; what makes her different?
-
I think the entire world should completely ignore the entire Hilton family. Let them dry up and go away. Are there not more important things to think and talk about?
-
yeah! she is a person who broke the law. she shouldn't have MORE priviledges than she already has especially when dealing with civil law.
-
she IS in jail...
-
Anyone who breaks the law should pay the price...even Paris Hilton. Why people think they should be above the law I'll never know. Get over it!
-
No. She put her nose up to the law and she got what she deserved. Hopefully, she grows up from this experience, but I seriously doubt it. I don't think she will end up in jail again unless she screws up her probation, whatever that will be now.
