I was briefly involved with Scientology - but only for a few weeks. I was involved with The Potters House for a few months. I'm not sure if they're still considered a cult around here. I was also involved with The Melbourne Church of Christ - which was most definitely a cult. I was never a member but a friend of mine was. I attended a few services and studies to help out my friend and got hassled for months afterward. I think my friend eventually got out which is good!

I know lots of people who live in this 'cult of personality' dumped on us by the mainstream media.

G'day Indigo, Thank you for your question. My aunt was a member of a cult that believed that there was going to be a great flood in 1999 and that Toowoomba was going to be the only safe place in Australia. It was later revealed that the lady who started the cult was married to a Toowoomba real estate agent. Luckily, my aunt was able to sell her house and get her money back. Regards

Several people have been in JW's (oh am I going to get negged for saying that!), but apart from that, nothing serious, except Amway...(I'm not totally joking with it...a lot of cultish methods are used)
