  • Yes. On-base percentage is calculated as follows: (H + BB + HBP) / (AB + BB + HBP + SF) where H = hits BB = bases on balls HBP = hits by pitch AB = at bats SF = sacrifice flies A hit therefore counts, regardless of what happens after you reach first-base.
