    Direct sunlight harms just about everything. It degrades most plastics (very slowly, though). However, the effect of sunlight is pretty small, takes a long time for any damage to be noticeable (I mean a LONG time) The affect of sunlight is probably too small be worried about, if there is any effect at all. Many LCD screens get Alot of sun throughout their lives, and yet, I have never read or heard any advice to protect LCD screens from sunlight.
