Why does everyone seem so obsessed with reality TV? I don't get why people are so into American Idol or Dancing With the Stars etc. It all seems so petty/pointless/empty to me.

I couldn't agree with you more. Reality TV is so far from "reality" that it's not even funny. I'm not sure what the fascination is. Maybe it's the viewer interaction, how viewers are given the ability to vote for who they want to win, which gives them partial control over the outcome of the show.

It is pointless but i sit back adn watch how much of a fool people make of themselves just for some money ocannsionally. expicially this new charm school crap for VH1
