What does goat meat taste like? It smells horrible and looks stringier than most meats.

Lovely when curried - but you have to marinade it well and cook it for quite some time.

That's Cabrito. "kid goat meat." Personally I don't like it, but, then again, I don't like lamb either. To me , it tastes like the animal smells. My wife loves lamb. I can't stand it. It's all in each person's individual tastes. You would just have to taste it to see what you think about it.

it tastes rally good. curry goat is fabulous. people told me steak was disgusting and chewy, which put me off for years. but i have finally had some steak, and frankly, i feel it depends who cooks it, if it's grilled or not, and if it was marinated. same goes with goat.

Goat is like a beefy lamb. I love it as curry. Curried goat done Indian style is great! And Barbacoa is pretty good, too. It's Mexican goat, a very young goat that is roasted over coals.

Like most meats, if prepared right is delicious, if not, it's chewy and disgusting.
