  • Stop telling yourself you "hate" it. If you think it to be easy, it becomes so. Believe me, that works with MANY aspects of life! Try it..
  • Hi, It took me a long time to learn that there are different types of people with different types of thinking. Some people are more able to do math than other. Some people are better at Writing Things. Some people have both gifts. The people good at math are usually very good leaders especially in the military. The People good at Writing are usually reporters or psychologists etc. Hope that helps. VisitororGuest@yahoo.com
  • I hate math also, but you may do well if you realize how much easier it potentially is than other subjects. Math has only one right answer, everything else has many possible solutions. This works for me.
  • You don't hate math, you dislike. Maybe you don't like it because you don't understand it. Ask a classmate to help you out, or ask your teacher. Review at home what you don't understand. Or just keep this is your mind. "You better like it, or you'll get a bad grade."
  • I think you should have focused harder when they were teaching grammar in English class. Apparently algebra is not your only weak subject.
  • hating something doesnt mean you cant be good at it, i hate ancient history but top my class. but generally its easier to do well in something you like, i suggest dropping it if youre doing poorly (under 70th percentile). if you do want to keep it, then youll have to work at it, take breaks during your maths homework, it helps in concentration
  • You should look into improving your grammar skills. Here are some corrections for you to take note of: I'm 15. I'm a smart student, but in my Algebra 2 honor class, I just can't focus because i think i hate math. what can i do? Atleast learn identation!! You should tell yourself to give math a chance. relax, give it a chance & focus. if you try being more relaxed, optimistic & Focused when doing it, chances are you'll be much better at it.
