Totally possible, and one of the most common mods out there. I just put a 120g in last night,and I'm transferring my mp3 collection now. You'll need to mod the xbox 1st, either with a chip or with a softmod (easy) www.xbox-scene.com for tutorials and more info that you can possibly need.
