I do agree with that. It reminds me of a Mongolian proverb I have always liked: Four things come not back: the spoken word, the spent arrow, the past life and the neglected opportunity.

As it says at Proverbs 15:1 “ An answer, when mild, turns away rage, but a word causing pain makes anger to come up.” Yes, we need to think before we speak, especially when we are angry.

you bet! and especially for myself, as when i am angry, i blabber out whatever i feel, without sparing it a thought...and then spend most of my time apologising.

omg - I so agree with this. It took me so long to learn, and at such cost. Hurtful words are never, never forgotten, however genuinely you regret them. Regret is often so irrelevant. Revealing that you could ever even think such a thing can be just to much to be born.
