My brother is 8 yrs older than me, so when I was in Kindergarten he was in 8th grade. I would be walking to art class when he was at lunch. My class would walk right past the cafeteria and he would stand by the door and when he saw me he would hand me a peanut butter cookie and run back in. I always looked forward to art class!

I remember all the times I spent at my grandma's house. I spent every weekend there since I was five. She passed away one year ago. I love to think about all the fun "adventures" I had at her house.

I was a very little kid when I was standing next to an old man who was painting my grandparents home. He was on top a very tall ladder. While moving his brush he told me that some time before he was painting a house on such a tall ladder that he went to heaven a talk to God for a while. I was impressed, looks like I believed what he said. You know, he was an old man and we were told that what they say has to be trusted. I will never forget that moment. Another moment I remember was looking at the pictures of a Comic Book and wishing I was able to read what it said...because I didn't know how to read. I must have been between three and five years old.

I've always loved music and I liked learning all the lyrics to all my favorite songs. I would go in my mom's room and get on her bed and sing to her while I was brushing her hair.

I remember being in my grandma's kitchen and cooking with her. She made everything from scratch and did it with so much love. Great memories of a lovely woman.
