Why is it that good, honest, high integrity people are attacked on so many fronts in life these days?

I think it is because they have become so rare that they seem almost alien in today's me first culture.

It depends on what you consider good, honest, high quality people. That sort of thing is really up to the individual. If you mean, no liars, no thief, types, I'm not really sure. I think because people don't like it when someone else looks better than them.

To further alienate them from the general uncouth lout on the street, who is becoming ever more common.

because people are affraid of things and people that they can not understand, or that they feel threatened by peoples level headedness. it is an animal culture, people pick on those who know who they are and what they are about because they are jealouse and scared of there own feelings of smallness and the futility of there lives

Honesty and goodness are not rewarded in this culture these days. The truth is not always profitable. People have a hard time manipulating folks with integrity. Check out politicians, the plastic surgery industry, the media, public relations advisors, advertisers, and spin doctors....all looking to dodge those traits.
