Why are some people so harsh?

because they have low self esteem and lack in other ways

it is their nature.

Because its their way of feeling better about themselves so they put others down to get ahead mentally and socially....

Because they are imperfect, because they speak and act before thinking...in other words, because they are human. But some can be kinder and milder and more loving with help and kindness in return. Some just never get it.
