Speaking generally without getting too involved in details I would say that taking someone's own life is an extreme and final measure for people with big mental and/or emotional problems. She shouldn't blame herself for other people's actions.

No one is responsible for another person's life.

It is never the fault of someone else. It is a matter of the suicidal person not knowing how to find another way to deal with whatever is hurting them. You cannot choose for another person to commit suicide, or not to commit suicide. You are not responsible for the suicidal persons knowledge, ability to ask for help, depression, etc. It is their life to live. Not yours.
