It is slightly obsessive, but not racist. Why on earth are you worried about whether you are or are not racist. Live life, don't ponder over every interaction.

being too careful about offending me is offensive to me. just treat me with the same respect you treat other people. i guess what i'm saying is it is less offensive to me if you pretend to not notice that i am a brown-skinned person. peopl that constantly point out this fact (as sweet and non-racist as they are trying to be) only further remind me that i am another race and they notice it ALOT. it's anti-racist racism,and it is stll extremely offensive behavior.
