  • The Saleen S7 will smoke porche's doors off! thats what i have to say!
  • Every one has they're own opinions. But admit this, Go fast or suck!
  • lol porsche! who told you a porsche will smoke a saleen in speed and quality? your daddy?!
  • You are all getting off topic, can we get back to the matter at hand, please? I don't care about your Saleen, or any other pushrod behemoth you have to tell me about. PORSCHE here.
  • if someone is looking for a porsche flag you can buy it at: http://www.onflags.com/xxx-c-38.html
  • IMO, I believe the 1998 993 was the best and last real 911 ever made. Compared to a 996 or newer, the 993 is smaller, lighter and lower. I also love that it is air-cooled and has the same sound I fell in love with when I saw my first Porsche when I was 12. The 996's and newer have really morphed into different car. The newer car may be faster and handle better, but the 993 really connects the driver with the road. Driving a 996 or newer is like driving a Buick compared to a 993.Something is lost in the newer cars that transmits the feel of the road to the driver making it not as much fun to drive. Oh...and why is everyone talking about Saleen in this question?
  • If you are looking for top speed, check out the 9ff GT9R. It is a modded 911 that runs above 260 mph. I think that will pretty much smoke any Saleen.
  • Many true Porsche lovers would say the last real Porsche was the 356. I drove the 993 and 996 side by side at Atlanta Motor Speedway for the 996 model intro and I can clearly say the 996 is far better in every aspect to the 993. That's not to say the 993 any less, it is not. The 993 was just about as far as you can go with an AC engine. However, where I will truly encite every rear engine Porsche lover is by stating by far my favorite is the 986. The Boxster is so good that Porsche refuses to give it the better engines, or it would easily smoke the 996/997. This will get the rest of you upset, my next favorite would be the 928S4 followed by the 944(951) Turbo S. You see I'm not fond of the tendancy to 'ground loop'. True, someone who knows what they are doing and willing to work hard can take a 911 and drive circles around just about anything on the road... It's just I prefer the vehicles that will perform well without making you work hard.
