  • If it continues or is making you nervous then I would go to your local Emergency room or care center and have it checked into. Better safe than sorry. I personally am not a doctor so this is the only advice I can give you.
  • Go see a doctor and for the love of God, don't watch any of the Alien movies.
  • See a doctor asap, make a list of any symptoms you have before you go to see him to make sure you don't miss anything. Anything unusual that you don't think is related should be listed. Do you get pins and needles, palpitations, numbness, pains in your jaw, face or neck. Anything different should be noted and related to your medical physician. And do it now.
  • It isn't exactly a classical presentation of major heart problems, since rubbing the area shouldn't make a difference if it is angina or the like. However, the first rule with any chest pain is to get it checked out quickly, because often patients present with unusual symptoms. It may well prove to be nothing serious, or perhaps an infection in the tissues in your chest around the heart, but you won't know unless you find out, and chest pains is perhaps the greatest warning signal any doctor can hear. If you have anybody nearby alert them and if you can, get them to go with you, especially if it's driving distance. If the symptoms can any worse or become more and more reguylar, or anything else happens, call an ambulance instead. If it's chest pain, they certainly won't mind even if it turns out to be minor.
  • I get stinging in my chest at or near the heart when I miss taking my coenzyme Q-10. If you don't take Co Q-10, you might try it to see if it makes them go away for you, as well. Dosage appears to be about a milligram per pound of body mass three times a day (ie., with meals) if you are 50 or over - scale back more or less linearly with age. L-Carnitine is considered good for this as well.
  • it could be heart palputations, if they persist then seek immediate medical care. depending on age and medical history, it could be early stages of a heart attack or it could be as simple as heartburn.(which sucks.) take a bayer, they thin the blood and help save your heart if anything serious were to be happening. if you are out of shape, it could be your heart working harder because of bad eating habits so try eating healthy for a few days and see if it goes away. (if this is a persistent problem.) if rubbing helps, it could be that you are relaxing and your HR is slowing, so i would assume it may have something to do with the way your heart is beating. just be careful and pay attention. if you develop sweating, cold skin, pain in an arm or leg, headaches, difficulty breathing, nausea, tingling, confusion, or any thing else out of the ordinary, it would be in your best interest to get yourself checked out. its reassuring to know that it was just nothing or may take some meds than it is to have no idea and forever develop a problem. hope i helped!
  • Rubbing what my child??
  • In January, I had pains in my chest - it felt like squeezing type pressure. one day when it wouldn't stop all day i finally went in and got checked out. Turned out it wasn't a heart attack, but my heart had enlarged and my lungs were not expanding properly. I joined a weight loss group, starting eating healthy all the time and I exercise - including 30 min of cardio. I feel a hundred percent better. get checked out and if you have any bad habits now is the time to work hard at changing them.

  • i also get this stinging short pain while inhaling but it occurs very occasionally..not all the time...it feels like something has blocked in the lungs....i try to inhale fully..it hurts a lot...but after inhaling the pain goes away..as if some blockage is released...

  • First, go to the doctor... no one on AB can give you medical advice. With that being said is it possible that it's anxiety?
