Now that you are a parent, do you view your parents differently than before you had kids? For the better or for the worse?

My parenting skills have NOTHING to do with my parents. I love them dearly, but they are wacko.

Yes, in both ways. I appreciate what they went through more but I also see things that I plan to handle differently than they did.

Yes I do... I always viewed my mom as very strong and a wonderful mother. She put up with a lot of abuse from a boyfriend. But now that I am a mother I still view her as strong and a great mother... but I feel that she should have done more to provide a healthier environment for us kids. We shouldn't have had to know about the abuse she was put through. That said, besides that... I now see how challenging raising kids really is and I admire her for the great job she did! So I guess mixed feelings in a way...

Not too much differently. I knew they were lazy parents then and now I prove it by showing how a real parent should be.
