  • It's past my time for it but somehow I think before I die most states will allow personal use. Just a feeling. And I also have a feeling the government will find a way to tax it.
  • By next years election I will be 36. As your presidential hopefully I will make the consumption of marijuana legal. However, only at the 10,000 approved government cut-rate sticky-icky dankedy-dank non laced shops will this be available. Make harmless schedule 1 "drugs" safer and equitable and we can fight the real war on the real dangerous drugs. I believe that if US citizens, of age, could get to smoke the most preferred marijuana, we could also combat the other major evil cursing this wonderful nation: alcohol. If you get caught driving while under the influence, it would operate the same if you were drinking. I propose moderation and when that won't work, having the brains to know how to get home safely.
  • G'day Castrate, Thank you for your question. I would think that it is highly unlikely. There is little or no public sentiment to legalise marijuana although there is support for medical marijuana. Further, the links between cannabis use and mental illness are now pretty clear and use of hydroponics have made the drug much more unlikely. • Dunno about the laws in the states, but here in Canada there are no laws pertaining to smoking any drug, just possesion and paraphnalia, can't spell that last, but you know what I mean.
  • I honestly can't see how all the bullshit propoganda has kept it illegal for so long. I know from past debates on it that I am far from alone in thinking it is considerably safer and healthier than alcohol consumption. The crap about it being a so-called "gate-way drug" is ridiculous. If it were decriminalized, regulated and taxed as alcohol is, it could greatly stimulate the economy. The only reasons that "gate-way" bullshit can fester is; 1)It's illegal, therefore obtained through similiar channels 2)Those that would fly through the "chain" would find something else to start out with(huffing paint, etc.)due to an addictive personality, low self-esteem, and low self-worth. I'm tired of marijuana having such a ridiculous stygma surrounding it.
  • Yes, the alcohol lobbyists are very loud and powerful with their campaign contributions but us stoners always have and always will be creative and resourceful. The DEA portrays an image of success on TV with their petty 1% of interceptions. Most people in the U.S. are actually starting to think for themselves. • Law Enforcement Against Prohibition(LEAP) • The Color Green
  • I hope so...It is encouraging to me that states continue to allow medicinal cards to be issued despite the federal laws. However, I fear that the new laws /marketing schemes by ciggarette companies showing the evils of smoking tobacco will play a part in the advancements towards legalization...(or lack there of )
