Have you ever flown in a hot air balloon? How was it? If not, would you do it if given the chance?

I flew in one over Alice Springs in Australia. It was pretty cool as we got to see the sun rise while up in it an all, but on the whole it was a bit of a let down. Personally, I wouldn't have spent the money on it if I were to do it again.

I would not ever get into a hot air balloon. We have a lot of ballooning here and there are too many accidents for my comfort. They even had one of those rides where you just go up and down in a balloon fall out of the sky and kill the passengers. I love to watch them but I'd never go up in one.

I think it would be great to float above everything and if offered i would jump at the chance.

Yes I have, several times, when a good friend of mine owned a balloon. I've been on chase crews too. I think ballooning is a wonderful experience, much different from being in a small plane because you are in the open air. I like looking at my world from up there! Of course I'd go again!

I flew in one over the Valley of the Kings in Egypt at sunrise, and to be honest it wasn't as good as I expected. We didn't go as high as I had hoped and generally it was too much money for what it was, so I probably wouldn't bother doing it again.

No I haven't. I always wanted to when I was younger but now I have this fear of being up really high expecially in something as little as a balloon basket. I'd be the white knuckler I'm afraid. Besides there was a terrible balloon accident where I live about a year ago and it made me rethink the whole thing.

Yep. I'm not fond of heights, but I've always wanted to take a balloon ride & to skydive. My youngest & I are going to when he turns 18.

No, I have not flown in a hot air balloon so I can't tell you anything about it. It looks like great fun, but it looks dangerous too. Yes, I would if given a chance. Just one chance!
