  • Is is possible to train a cat to do tricks, but it is much, much harder than training dogs. If your cat is anything like mine, they have us humans trained! :)
  • Possible, but not probable. In my experience, cats are at least as intelligent as dogs (I'm fond of both, so I'm reasonably objective), but much more picky about their dignity. Most cats I've known would consider tricks beneath said dignity. :-)
  • Cats can be trained.... it takes a lot more patience than training a dog.... dogs just want to make people happy and they seem somehow less intelligent to me.... they'll do anything just so you'll pay them attention.... Cats however assert their authority and independence and will snub doing anything foolish or anything they simply don't feel like doing. They know you will eventually want their attention.... and if you don't pay them enough attention, they will flop on your keyboard, or eat your pen while you are trying to write..... Very intelligent they know how to get thier own way..... I love cats. Cats are trainable, but they will set the schedule to which they are trained, and will only complete tricks 'if' they feel like it!
  • My son bought me a set of coasters and written on them are Cats are smarter than dogs,You cant get eight cats to pull a sled through the snow Dogs come when called.Cats take a message and get back to you. You own a dog,but you can only feed a cat. Women and cats do as they please, and men and dogs had best learn to live with it. I think this sums the cat up very well.
