Cornbread tells you what's in it.
I have made it and eaten it. It's pretty good. The early settlers on the Great Plans of the USA had plenty of corn to eat. It seemed to grow a bit more consistently than wheat, etc. of which bread is usually made.
The Native Americans goofed when they taught the early settlers from Europe how to grow corn. Corn was not known to them and they would have starved without it.

Yep and at a place called Babaloo's in Pensacola Beach, FL they serve it with real white corn and jalapenos in it.

Although, I pay with my ulcer for WEEKS afterward, I always stop there, and get the cornbread.

Well hoss, what did you think was in it, marijuana? I've heard they sell quiche at college football games in California. Here in Texas, we sell corndogs and popcorn(i.e., real food).
