Selected by the asker, Weylon. (What's this?)

    I don't care at all.

    Over and Out

    I do.

Some people search through specific categories to find questions to answer. If you put yours in the correct ones, you could get more responses.

You can put them in any category you want .. but someone will probably flag it and it will be moved to the right one anyway -- they'll get points for that too.

Most of the time I don't. Unless I am asking a specific question such as "How do I change the oil in my car?" (Not that I don't know how to do it. ) But my point is, if I have a specific question I will ask it in the right category. Most of the time when I ask I either ask it in the "fill in the blank" category or I ask it in the "More life society" section because I know those two sections get the most traffic from users. I could be wrong, but when I ask in other sections I don't get as many answers per question. So it seems to work for me.

It does help when you are looking for certain types of questions but I don't think it matters that much, going by some of the categories user's have put questions under.

It's always better to put a question in the correct category. It affects the related and more questions features.

Dam'* straight I do. When I ask a question about Human Behavior I don't want some Big Brother transferring that question to Religion which is what recently happened to me. If I had wanted it in Religion I would have placed it there. It had nothing at all to do with Religion...zero/zilch/nada/bagel. So yes I care. It tick's me off bigtime when someone who has no clue what the point of the question actually is puts it where he/she thinks i t belongs. How can you classify a question when you don't even understand it? :(
