Dark circles are caused by one of three primary reasons. Here's the quick and dirty on which solution works best for each type. - Bone structure. If you have deep-set eyes, shadowing contributes to the dark color under the eyes. Your best bet: camouflage. Look for concealers with yellow undertones, which counteract the bluish cast to under-eye circles. - Pigmentation. Genetic hyper-pigmentation is the most treatable form of dark circles. Your best bet: Try a lightening cream or talk to a dermatologist about chemical peels or laser resurfacing. - Vasculature inflammation. Late nights, allergies and nutritional deficiencies can enlarge the blood vessels beneath the thin under-eye skin. Your best bet: Take care of yourself! Sounds cliché but drink that water, get your beauty sleep, eat a healthy diet and avoid cigarette smoke (easy enough, right?) Other home remedies include: Close your eyes and cover eyelids with slices of raw potato or cucumber for 15-20 minutes. Wash with warm water and apply cream. Grate a cucumber, squeeze to take out its juice and refrigerate. Make a mixture of lemon juice , lanolin cream and cucumber juice and apply around the eye for 10-15 minutes Apply lemon juice on the black circles 2 times a day Apply a paste of tumeric powder with pineapple juice Apply almond oil under the eyes. Almond helps to remove dark circles and is an excellent skin food. Remove the cream applied around the eye after 10 minutes. Rub the area with a powdered Vitamin E capsule and wipe off with a mixture of honey and egg white Reference Links: http://www.azcentral.com/style/articles/0702darkcircles.html http://www.fatfreekitchen.com/beauty/eye-care.html

Tea bags, cucumber slices, and Meditation and a good nights rest works a miracle.

use your ring finger and gently massage in a circle across the brow and down around the eye socket five times on each eye. Using the ring finger stops you putting too much pressure on the delicate skin. Apart from that I go for the very unholistic make up called touche eclat which is quite honestly brilliant for shadows.

Hemmoroid pads. It is embarrassing to buy, but a great fix!
-
Prephoration H... I heard supermodels use it for the puffiness. I guess it works if it works for Hemmoroids.

More sleep is key, but also hard to accomplish if you're super busy! My friend had to use Preparation H on her eyes the day of her wedding because her Bachelorette party got a little crazy! I also keep one of those gel-filled eye masks in the fridge.

Sleep more.

I hope this could help. Here: If it is due to anemia, get your blood checked. At times due to poor digestion, lack of clean ambience, eating lot of starch and sugar apart from drinking excessive alcohol, cause this problem. You must have a lot of those vegetables which are rich in vitamin 'A'. Washing your eyes with chilled rose water, henna-water and the concoction of 'alder' flowers remove these dark rings. In case the 'alder flowers' be not available, you can replace them with rose flowers. Wash your eyes repeatedly with cold concoction thus prepared. This treatment will also help. here's another remedy: Rinse your face in cold water when you wake up or when puffy eyes attack anytime of the day to constrict blood vessels and reduce swelling. This a great energizer. Lie down for 15 minutes, preferably in a quiet room, with either a slice of raw potato or cucumber over your eyes, or cotton wool pads soaked in witch hazel (which reduces swelling) or iced water. Your eyes will sparkle and any puffiness will magically disappear! Making sure you are drinking enough water will also reduce eye puffiness. When a person is dehydrated the body starts storing water as a defense system and this will add to puffiness around the eyes.
